Completed Bucilla SNOWMAN & FRIENDS #84951 Felt Christmas Stocking. I have been sewing these heirloom-quality Christmas stockings for years and take much pride in each of them. I made over 15 last year! It measures 18 inches diagonally and features a roly-poly snowman holding a candy cane and a broom with assorted animals a mouse, deer and squirrel at his feet. A little bird carrying a spring of holly flies overhead. A name can be added to the top to personalize it. Sorry, but I dont personalize the stockings. It was sewn completely by hand absolutely no glue! By me with some places stuffed with poly-fill for a plush 3-D effect. With care, it can be treasured for generations. I have upgraded the stocking: The kit comes with white felt for the back but I have replaced this with much more practical red felt. The front of the stocking is lined with the white felt to protect the stitching from snags. I have also double-stitched each beaded sequin for better stability and have made a sturdier hanging loop. Each of my stockings easily takes over 40 hours to complete and this one has 91 felt pieces. Making them is truly a labor of love — Im fussy and dont take any shortcuts! Although I make every attempt to photograph colors accurately, please understand that your device(s) may display them differently. It comes from a non-smoking household.
