Bucilla’s Limited “Playdate” Felt Christmas Stocking Kit OOP Factory Direct. EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL NOT A PLAID or any other REPRODUCTION or second Made in USA First Edition 18. Now is a great time to get started on your stockings for next Christmas or gifts throughout the year. For those of you not familiar with the history of this kit, it took Bucilla over 4 years to locate a few more of these kits which I bought immediately. This is probably one of my all time favorites and that of several of my friends. I even have the door hanging that I put on my door at Christmas because a normal size wreath gets mashed between the door and the glass door. I had made the wall hanging and a stocking over 15 years ago and Bucilla finally located some of the kits when they relocated to their new warehouse. This is the original Bucilla with the great instructions and materials, floss etc. And really shows well on the mantel. You can very easily adjust it for 2 boys or two girls. This is probably one of the rarest and prettiest kits today. For all you collectors of the finer kits, you don’t want to miss this one or “O Holy Night”. One of the most unique features of this kit is, the fence that the children are standing in front building their snowman. It shows extremely well and emphasizes the scene on the stocking front, as only a handful of Bucilla kits are able to accomplish. It is gorgeous on your mantle. The brown fence accents most of the colors of your mantle. This “Playdate” was actually produced by Bucilla in 2003 in the USA and designed by Maria Stanziani. When completed, this stocking measures 18 in diagonal length. This kit contains stamped felts, cotton floss, color separated sequins and beads, 2 needles, tri-lingual instructions and directions for personalization. Everything you need to complete your stocking are in the kit except for the polyester filling or the filling of your choice. This is not the 2012 Plaid reproduction. All of my kits are original kits from Bucilla and were made completely in the USA. It comes from a pet-free, smoke-free. Clean environment as well as being stored in plastic air tight containers to protect them from dust and pollen. It has much easier to understand directions and ideal for the novice on these felt appliqué kits Bucilla produced. This is one of my favorite kits. I also carrying the matching wall hanging. In 2023, it will be considered a classic, vintage kit. It must be 20 years old to be considered “vintage”. This stocking was sent directly to me by the Bucilla and is in brand new condition. It comes from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment. It has not been through a secondary market and is absolutely perfect and germ-free. In case of loss or damage, please contact me and I will file all claims. I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during transit and losing a bead or sequin. It preserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free. Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that my kits cost a little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure. I don’t just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilize completely throughout the kit. There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used for displaying the kit, ornament, etc. Germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.
