Bucilla’s Discontinued Original “Santa Paws” Puppy or Dog Lover’s Felt Christmas Stocking Kit 18 Factory Direct Extremely Rare (not the cheaper 2012 reproduction). Now is a good time to get started on your stockings for next Christmas or for gifts throughout the year. This is an original and not a reproduction for 2012. It has all original colors, felt and floss. It is washable, unlike reproductions. ” Santa Paws” is the perfect stocking for any dog lover. It is very colorful but a lot of detail. When finished it is 18 in length. This is one of the heavier kits and on some of the larger kits they have a tendency to pull open. This stocking is 18 inches in length when completed and was designed by Maria Stanzani. This kit contains stamped felts, cotton floss, color separated sequins and beads, 2 needles, tri-lingual instructions and directions for personalization. Everything you need to complete the stocking are in the kit except for the polyester filling or the filling of your choice. It has not been on the secondary market so I can honestly say it comes from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment. This is an original Santa Paws stocking kit and not the cheaper reproduction from 2012 that has the thinner felt and the the lower quality of sequins that flake off. I do not handle the reproductions because the quality is not even close to that of the original. This stocking kit was outlined in a brown instead of black. The brown tends to bleed in the lines but when completed if the sequins or surrounding pieces still show a small goldish brown line, you may dab it off with water by placing a towel on the underside. Move the towel each time you dab until the spot is removed. You can also do what I did when I made mine and that is take your needle and lightly scratch off the color. This is the heavy felt by Bucilla and not the light weight felt by Plaid so it does not cause a problem because I have done it. This was Bucilla’s way of lightening the line that you cut on or bead over from leaving black on the kit. The original kits are washable but the reproductions felt colors tend to bleed. There are washing instructions in the kit if you need to wash it. The felts are much thinner in the new kits and on some occasions you may want to back them because they can tear with wear. I do not handle the reproductions of any design because it is my goal to sell only the best kits. Take precautions when making the reproductions because some of the sequins flake out and may have to be replaced. In case of loss or damage, please contact me and I will file all claims. I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during transit and losing a bead or sequin. It preserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free. Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that my kits cost a little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure. I don’t just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilize completely throughout the kit. There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used for displaying the kit, ornament, etc. Germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.
