VINCENT VAN GOGH SUNFLOWERS Needlepoint Tramme Kit 17 3/4 x 21 1/4

Vincent van Gogh’s famous SUNFLOWERS painting (fourth version, 1887) as a tramme needlepoint kit. The canvas is 100% cotton and includes 100% wool needlepoint yarn. Finished area is approximately 17 3/4″ x 21 1/4″ on 23″ x 37 1/2″ canvas. A tramme needlepoint is a pre-stitched design on double-mesh or Penelope canvas instead of a painted design. The pre-stitching is typically horizontal lines. The customer uses matching color yarn included in the kit to stitch a traditional continental stitch over the pre-stitching. Sometimes fine details such as faces, skin, and flowers are pre-finished in petit point or continental stitch. Kits generally only include sufficient yarn to stitch over the pre-stitch, and the customer provides their own yarn and colors to complete the background and unstitched areas.
