Bucilla’s Discontinued “Chef Santa” Felt Christmas Stocking Kit-18 Factory’Direct VERY RARE. This is the first edition and quite different from the kits today. It is so easy to follow the directions, especially for beginners. This is a perfect stocking for the chef of the family or a friend who loves to cook. This stocking is very colorful and one of the most unique designs this year. I do have the discontinued ornaments to match the stocking. When completed, this unique stocking measures 18 inches in length. This stocking was produced by Bucilla and designed by Maria Stanziani in 2007 and not the Plaid reproduction or a second. The kit contains stamped felts, cotton floss, color separated sequins and beads, 2 needles, tri-lingual instructions and directions for personalization. This stocking kit and ornaments kit has been in my possession in an air-tight container in a climate controlled area since 2007. This is an authentic Bucilla Chef Santa stocking kit made in the USA and not the Plaid reproduction which is made in other countries as well. It does not have the red left side panel as the “knock offs”. The older, authentic, collectible kits do not have the red panel with the higher quality components and original colors. The original kits have the original colored felts, which are thicker in most cases, original colored floss and beads, and colors are true to the original design without substitution of different colors. The sequins in the reproductions are limited and tend to flake off on the back. I have the Chef Santa ornaments to match this stocking. You can use the ornaments as gift tags by embroidering the name of the recipient on the back of the tag. After opening their gift, they can hang their gift tag on the tree or use it for a name tag on a stocking kit. If you wish, you can customize a couple of these ornaments for name tags for gifts throughout the year. The pie, cake and skillet with oven mitten are easily converted and great to put on wedding shower gifts. Some of the kits of this design have loose sequins. It is still factory-sealed but some of the inside sequin packets in kits of this design, were not adequately sealed. Your kit is sealed and will be wrapped in tissue and you will not be missing any sequins, but if you have a problem, please let me know. All the sequins are higher quality and present and the original colors. In case of loss or damage, please contact me and I will file all claims. I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during transit and losing a bead or sequin. It preserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free. Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that my kits cost a little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure. I don’t just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilize completely throughout the kit. There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used for displaying the kit, ornament, etc. Germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.
