Beautiful Sajou Cross Stitch items. Created in 2007 by Frédérique Crestin-Billet, this cross stitch project was an instant success. It was discontinued to make way for new products. However, due to the numerous requests, it is again available. Extremely amusing to embroider, the colours of the threads and fabrics are very varied and the small squares can be carried everywhere. Dimensions of finished plaid: 99 x 88 cm. Presented in a lovely box, this kit contains. 72 linen squares in 17 different colours. 36 cards of Laine Saint-Pierre in 36 different colours. The Sajou Red Album N° 906. 9 metres of binding ribbon. Full-colour detailed mounting explanations. All you will need is the backing fabric. We suggest a fairly thick fabric, like our polka dot linen. Size of presentation box: 20 x 20 x 8.5cm. It can be arrive within 1420 days. Please contact first, if you are in Asia. A boxed Sajou Heritage and Museum kit for a large embroidery all about Marie Antoinette, the last Queen to live in the Palace of Versailles before her unfortunate demise. The embroidery includes the iconic portrait of Queen Marie-Antoinette by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, the French Queens official portraitist, along with designs taken from embroideries associated with (and some some worked by) Marie Antoinette. Her love of lace and fashions is noted and there are designs that are based on fabric samples used by Rose Bertin, the Queens dressmaker, along with the Queens silhouette and monogram. Despite her tragic destiny and the many grievances held against her, she remains an intriguing and iconic part of French history. Having been vilified by history, little by little, her ordeal was recognised and she became an expiatory symbol of the Revolution. In 1816 Louis XVIII gave her the funeral she never had in 1816. A beautiful, large gift box containing a Sajou cross stitch chart depicting scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry along with 25 cards of Laine St Pierre embroidery wool and 70 cm square piece of 32 count linen embroidery fabric in sand colour required to complete the chart. The Bayeux tapestry measures almost 64 meters in length and this chart shows some of the major scenes from the tapestry. There are two additions to the chart, there is a map to show the site of the events surrounding the Battle of Hastings, and there are coloured tassels included in the chart, in order to show that the whole tapestry was worked in just seven colours. The pattern chart is 68 x 80 cm for ease of use given the complexity of the design, it is printed in matt and can be written on should you need to mark any references.
